The Toshiba has been bought to replace my aging Compaq Evo which has served me faithfully and dutifully for the past three years and survived two major crashes. Data lost, but still worked strong. It cost $2,099 at the PC Show. Very good price. Some of the specs: Intel Centrino Processor, 1GB of RAM, graphics running on separate memory from the rest of the computer, so it's a pretty powerful machine.
The Benq is connected to the Toshiba and serves as a second screen. Using the sequencing software Reason, I display the rack on the laptop screen while running the sequencer on the 20.1" screen so that I do not have to squint at the little squares while doing editing.
The T20 are portable speakers... my Travelsound is a little cranked out, it dies when it experiences a sudden shock of sound. Plus, it's not loud enough for portable broadcast. A little wasted though, now rehearsals have ended, because I've had to burn so many discs each time I make changes to the minus ones. Otherwise I'll just have to bring my laptop and speakers, plug in and play direct. And obviously these speakers sound better than the CD players at the rehearsal venue.
